Barbara Ann Smith, 85, Sebastian
Barbara Ann Smith, 85, of Sebastian, died Feb. 28, 2020, at Harbor Chase of Vero Beach in Vero Beach. She was born in East Greenwich, R.I., and lived in Sebastian coming from Ludlow, Mass.
She retired from elementary education as the Director of the Springfield College, in Massachusetts.
Barbara was co-author of Guidebook of Marina on the Intercostals’ Waterway from Maine through Florida.
She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Claire Smith; nephew, Edward Picard; and friend, Virginia Kirchner and her companion, Wayne Maki.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Smith.
A Prayer Service will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, at Strunk Funeral Home, 1623 N. Central Ave., Sebastian, with Deacon John Dunlop, Officiant.
Placement of her remains into the columbarium will follow at Sebastian Cemetery, Sebastian.
