Mike Natale, president of the Sebastian Exchange Club presented a check in December to Youth Guidance Mentoring Academy. A great supporter of Youth Guidance, the Sebastian Exchange Club donated $5,000 to sponsor this year’s 2020 King of the Hill Tennis Tournament, which begins this month.
“The Sebastian Exchange Club has always been so generous to Youth Guidance. Their contributions and funds raised from the King of the Hill Tennis Tournament provide mentoring programs and activities for underprivileged children, from low-income families in Indian River County,” said Executive Director, Felix L. Cruz. “Without the support of this fundraiser our children would not have access to the free resources that the agency provides, including group mentoring programs, activities, academic support, summer camp and a nutritious meal.”
One of Youth Guidance’s major fund-raising events, The King of the Hill Tennis Tournament will be held at two locations this year. The 40s and 50s Divisions will be at the Boulevard Tennis Club on consecutive Tuesdays between Jan. 14 and Feb. 4. The Open Division will be held at the Moorings Yacht and Country Club between Feb. 11 and March 3.
The eight-week tournament will start at 6 p.m. with local pros vying to be named King of the Hill.
All proceeds support Youth Guidance Mentoring Academy. In fulfilling its mission, Youth Guidance is dedicated to enriching the lives of Indian River County youth through mentoring relationships that inspire trust, self-esteem and positive futures.
