Linda Eller Boudet, 81, Vero Beach
Linda Eller Boudet, 81, of Vero Beach, passed away on Dec. 9, 2019, after a short fight with cancer. Linda was born in West Palm Beach, Fla., to Marlin and Lorena (Horton) Eller on Nov. 7, 1938.
She grew up in Deerfield Beach, Fla. and went to school at Pompano High School and was a proud ‘Beanpicker.’
She married James (Jimmy) Lee Boudet on Dec. 10, 1956. She was extremely talented on the piano and used her talent in several Baptist churches beginning as a teenager. She was involved in church her entire life and talked to everyone about her Savior – Jesus. She was a mighty prayer warrior. Linda loved her family and was a very giving person.
Linda leaves her children, Jim (Teresa) Boudet, Marc (Susan) Boudet, Shari (Jerry) Ball, Jennifer (Kevin) Deaney, and Janet Boudet; grandchildren, Jeb (Courtney) Boudet, Jesse (Ashleigh) Boudet, April Boudet, Chelsea (Michael) Jones, Samantha (Jacob) Nash, Mackenzie (Cory) Boughey, Kate Boudet, Annie Boudet, Ian Deaney, Braelynn Deaney, and Kaleigh Deaney; great-grandchildren, Riley Boudet, Kirsten Boudet, Addison Boudet, Emersyn Boudet, Audrey Jones, Wade Jones, Bonnie Nash, and Olivia Kay Boughey (due March 2020); brother, Dwight (Goldie) Eller; and sister-in-law, Deborah Eller. She also leaves many, many cousins and friends.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy; son, Timothy Scott Boudet; and brother, David Eller.
A Memorial Service will be on Friday, Dec. 13, at 11 a.m. at the Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home at 1655 27th Street in Vero Beach.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to VNA Hospice of Indian River County.
The family of Linda also wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses and doctors with Hospice who took such good care of her recently.
Rheal Joseph Carpenter, 49, Vero Beach
Rheal Joseph Carpenter, 49, of Vero Beach, passed away on Dec. 6, 2019. He was born in Glens Falls, N.Y., to Floyd and Georgianna Carpenter.
Rheal graduated from Glens Falls High School, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting at Plattsburgh State University, N.Y., and earned his MBA from Florida Atlantic University.
He was most recently employed as the Dean of Business and Technology at Indian River State College.
Prior to this administrative position, he taught business, accounting, and finance classes at many of the IRSC campuses.
He is survived by his wife, Emma; and his two children, Gabrielle and Jack.

Mary Washburn, 68, Sebastian
Mary Washburn, 68, of Sebastian, died Dec. 8, 2019, at Sebastian River Medical Center. Mary was born in Coral Gables, Fla., and moved to Sebastian, where she has lived for many years.
Survivors include her sons, Charles Washburn (Kyla Miocharnuk), Richard Washburn (Melanie), A.J. Washburn (Rachel), Brian (Chrystal Morales); mother, June Jones Link; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Link.
Visitation will be held 2-3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, at Strunk Funeral Home, 1623 North Central Ave., Sebastian, followed by a Funeral Service in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Alex Pappas, Oceans Unite Christian Centre, officiating.
A Committal service will be held immediately following the funeral service at Winter Beach Cemetery, Winter Beach, Fla.
