Henry Beyerle, 89, Vero Beach

Henry “Bill” Beyerle, 89, of Vero Beach and Surf City, N.J., passed away on Oct. 24, at his home. Bill was born Aug. 1, 1930, in Philadelphia to Henry and Emma Beyerle (nee Burger).

He grew up in Philadelphia, raised his family in Delran, N.J., and lived for 44 years in Surf City, while spending winters in Vero Beach.

He served in the Navy Seabees from 1951 to 1953, followed by a career in the automotive parts business.

In 1964, he opened Bill’s Auto Supply in Browns Mills, N.J., where he ran the day to day operations until his retirement in 1990, eventually selling the business in 1999.

Bill was a life-long volunteer in numerous business-related and civic activities including 50-plus years with the Pemberton Township Lions Club and more recently Vero Beach Lions, a 60-plus-year member of the American Legion, along with the Navy Seabees Island X-10 and Vero Beach Victory Center Military Store.

He was the devoted husband of 63 years to Ann (nee Kirby); and loving father to Bruce (wife, Lori), of Eastampton, N.J., and Mark, of Philadelphia.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jeffery (wife, Heidi), of Lumberton N.J., and Craig (fiancé, Mike), of Philadelphia; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Allie; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Claire Kirchen and Jane Clair; and a grandson, Kevin.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at Noon at Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, 1119 Long Beach Blvd., Ship Bottom, N.J. 08008.

Cremation was private.

Barbara Weyres, 81, Vero Beach

Barbara Weyres, 81, passed away peacefully at the VNA Hospice House on Oct. 25, 2019, in Vero Beach. Barb was born and raised in Thiensville, Wis.

She moved to Rockford, Ill., after marrying her husband of 42 years, Robert “Bob” Weyres, where they raised their family.

The family often vacationed to the warm state of Florida and moved to Vero Beach in 1981, where she lived until 2005.

She moved to Ocala, Fla., after the death of her husband and returned to Vero Beach in 2017 where she resided at Solaris for the last few years of her life.

She could best be described as a teacher, a devout Christian, and loving family member.

She spent her career as an enthusiastic and talented educator. She was both a teacher and assistant principal at Citrus Elementary School.

She was a pragmatic teacher, who focused on helping the most challenged students throughout her career making a significant impact on countless families. After her retirement, the teaching skills never ceased as she was a mentor to her growing grandchildren.

Barb was a woman of faith who embraced both the Catholic Church, where her husband was raised, and also the Lutheran church, where she practiced her faith as a child and later in life.

She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church while in Vero, and Our Redeemer Lutheran Church while she lived in Ocala.

She volunteered for several causes over her lifetime including extensively through her churches and Meals on Wheels.

She adored her grandchildren and particularly enjoyed her Thanksgiving Day feasts, family trips to watch Gator football, and weekend getaways where the grandchildren were spoiled with candy and fun.

Survivors include her daughters, Jodi Boncore (Steve), of Oviedo, Fla., and Jill Olmstead (Vinny), of Vero Beach; and grandchildren, Brett Boncore (Emily), Morgan Boncore, Erin Giddens (Devon), Hannah Olmstead, Emma Olmstead, and Trey Olmstead.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Weyres, enjoying a great adventure for 42 years; and her loving son, Kevin Weyres.

At the family’s request services will be held privately.
