Tracking Station Beach park to close Nov. 1 for replenishment

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Tracking Station Beachfront Park is scheduled to close for beach replenishment on Nov. 1. The work is expected to take almost two months.

It is the first in a line of beaches that will be restored, including Conn Beach at Jaycee Park and Humiston Beach.

The work is expected to cost $4.8 million, funded in part by the state and federal governments. Local tourist tax dollars are also being allocated to the beach renourishment.
