Harris Webber, 79, Vero Beach
Harris Webber, 79, of Vero Beach, passed away Sept. 11, 2019, from complications of Lewy Body Dementia. He was born in Boston, Mass.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Myra; three daughters, Megan (Max) DeZara, Kathleen (Bryan) McCollam, and Kirstin (Kevin) Fitzgibbons; and six grandchildren, Lauren and Brian DeZara, Ian and Will McCollam, and Tate and Whitney Fitzgibbons.
Harris founded Harris Webber, Ltd., located in the northern suburbs of Chicago, which built and managed retirement communities throughout the Midwest.
After retirement, Harris served on the Boards of GYAC and the Hospital District of Vero Beach. He also served as a Councilman for the Town of Orchid.
Prior to moving to Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club, Harris lived in Lake Forest, Ill.
The family thanks his caregivers Tamara Krom and Marc Hugues.
A celebration of his life will be held at Orchid Island Beach Club on Nov. 16 from 1 – 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Association of Vero Beach or VNAHospice House of Vero Beach.
