INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Two people were hurt after a car traveling on southbound Interstate 95 lost control, struck a tree and then rolled over, highway troopers said.

The driver and passenger were taken by ambulance to Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Yanko Reyes said. The single-vehicle wreck did not block any lanes.

Highway troopers responded to the crash about 3:15 p.m. Monday on southbound I-95, near the 154 mile marker. Troopers found a white Toyota flipped on its side about 100 feet away from the road, Reyes said.

Two people who were inside were taken to the hospital. A tow truck was headed to the scene to remove the car.

It was unclear if the car was totaled. Highway troopers will investigate the cause of the crash.
