VERO BEACH — The Junior League of Indian River (JLIR) is hosting two opportunities to learn more about being a member of the non-profit organization.
The first event, the organization’s annual Kick Off Party, will take place on July 25 at 5 p.m. at Southern Social. This casual event allows prospective members to mingle and learn more about JLIR. In addition, the League will be holding its provisional training orientation class on Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the United Way of Indian River, 1836 14th Ave., Vero Beach.
“The Junior League’s mission is about giving back to our community and developing the potential of women,” said Meg Cunningham, president of JLIR. “Women who are interested in not only creating an impact in our community but also learning how to be future leaders in our community are encouraged to come to our kick off event or orientation class to learn more about our League.”
Every fall and spring, JLIR welcomes new members to its organization. During this provisional period, new members are required to complete community impact projects and partake in the spring fundraiser.
Those interested in attending or receiving more information about the fall Provisional training can email membership@jlir.org.
