The MetroPCS store on SW Gatlin Boulevard was robbed Monday and Port St. Lucie police are searching for the suspect.
The robbery happened shortly before 4:30 p.m., according to police. The suspect, armed with a handgun, entered the store and took cellphones and cash.
No one was reported injured in the robbery.
The suspect is described only as a black male. No other details regarding his age or size. He was wearing a baseball cap, white T-shirt with a black, long-sleeved shirt underneath, white or gray knee-length drawstring shorts, and black sneakers.
The suspect fled the store and got into a passenger seat of a black sedan waiting in the parking lot.
The vehicle, driven by another unidentified person, left the area.
