INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Two people were hurt – including one with serious injuries – after a water truck overturned and slid down a hill Tuesday morning, fire rescue crews said.
Indian River County Fire Rescue crews responded to the incident about 8 a.m. Tuesday at a landfill in the 1300 block of 74th Avenue Southwest, Battalion Chief Kyle Kofke said. Two people were inside the truck when it flipped, Kofke said.
One person was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries. The other person was taken by ambulance to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce with serious injuries, Kofke said.
It was unclear which agency would be investigating the crash. No further details were available.
