Proud family members, friends, faculty and staff enthusiastically applauded the academic and overall achievements of the 55 members of the Saint Edward’s School Class of 2019, as they sat on the stage of the Waxlax Center for the Performing Arts awaiting their diplomas last Saturday morning at the school’s 46th Commencement Exercise.
This year’s impressive class boasts first- or second-choice acceptances at the most prestigious list of colleges and universities in the school’s history. “From the beginning, the class of 2019 has been remarkable in its academic achievements. We had six National Merit semi-finalists, as well as students who are budding inventors, coding experts, and exciting and compelling artists,” said Michele Sternberg, Director of College Counseling and Academic Dean. This year’s Co-Valedictorians were Omar Shareef (Stanford University) and Katie Alerte (Harvard University). Anand Chundi (University of Florida) was the Salutatorian.
