VERO BEACH — Officers have identified the body of a man found in a vehicle Monday afternoon near the airport.
Police named the man as Edward Raftery, 57, of Vero Beach, Vero Beach police spokesman Officer Dennis DeAcetis said. Preliminary reports show no signs of foul play, DeAcetis said.
The body was found about 1 p.m. Monday in a white Chevy truck, DeAcetis said. The truck was parked in one of the overflow parking lots at the Vero Beach Regional Airport.
Police could not release details on if any items were found inside the truck. An autopsy to determine a cause of death was scheduled for Tuesday, DeAcetis said.
Officers continue to investigate Raftery’s death.
