INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A woman in her 50’s was seriously hurt after falling from an all-terrain vehicle Saturday, a sheriff’s report shows.
The woman was riding on the back of the ATV about noon Saturday in the 22000 block of State Road 60, in west county. When the vehicle accelerated, she fell off the back and hit her head on the gravel, reports show.
Indian River County deputies were called to the scene, near Blue Cypress Road. The woman was flown to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce with traumatic injuries, reports show.
An update on the woman’s condition was not available Monday. No further details were available.
