INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A 24-year-old man was arrested after an undercover drug probe netted more than 100 grams of “molly,” several firearms and counterfeit bills from the man’s home, reports show.
Deputies launched the probe after suspicions Joquan Adolfo Hill was selling drugs at different locations.
Deputies obtained a search warrant for Hill’s home on Feb. 7. Inside, the Indian River County sheriff’s SWAT team found several firearms and drugs, including MDPV, or molly, five ecstasy pills, a 9 mm Beretta handgun with 21 rounds, a Smith & Wesson .38 caliber special revolver with four rounds and four counterfeit $100 bills, reports show.
Deputies arrested Hill, of the 4400 block of 27th Avenue, on several charges, including four counts of sale of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and six counts of possession of a controlled substance. Hill was held Wednesday at the Indian River County Jail without bond.
Hill was on probation for a 2016 unrelated armed robbery out of Indian River County when he was arrested, reports show.
Investigators worked with confidential informants to conduct undercover drug deals in three incidents in January. The informants set up the deals with Hill, reports show.
Hill sold the informants a variety of drugs, including hydromorphone hydrochloride pills and “molly,” reports show. Deputies said Hill sold the narcotics outside of his home and at a Chipotle parking lot.
Both locations were within 1,000 feet of pharmacies and churches, which is a felony, reports show. Laws were set up to discourage dealing in residential areas.
Deputies arrested Hill and took him to the county jail. Hill has an arraignment at 8:45 a.m. March 15, court records show.
