VERO BEACH — A Riomar resident enjoyed a few peaceful moments this morning in her backyard, joined by a special visitor, a bobcat.

Dorinda Schreiber, of Sandfly Lane, was able to snap a couple photos of the creature as it sat on a low wall before leaving the area.
Schreiber said she couldn’t believe her luck, being able to see the bobcat without scaring it off Wednesday morning.
Bobcat sightings have been reported on the barrier island over the years. But there’s no telling exactly how many call the island home.
