INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Deputies are searching for a man they described as endangered who went missing Wednesday afternoon.

Indian River County deputies said Gilbert Peirce – who has Alzheimer’s disease – was last seen riding a dark blue or green Fuji racing bike about 1 p.m. Wednesday on southbound State Road A1A, near the River Club. Peirce’s age and address were not immediately available.
Deputies said Peirce was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black bike shorts and a blue helmet.
