Peter Budelli, 88, Vero Beach
Peter Budelli, 88, of Vero Beach, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at Indian River Medical Center. He was born in Ossining, N.Y., on Aug. 19, 1930, to Antonio and Louise Monotta Budelli.
After serving four years in the United States Navy, Peter attended Syracuse University and was involved in the advertising industry.
He was a member of the Vero Beach Italian American Club, Knights of Columbus, American Legion and Vero Beach Veterans.
Survivors include his sister, Josephine Montague, and several nieces and nephews.
Peter was predeceased by his wife, Leila (Lee) Russo, and sisters, Jean Calobano and Flouta Tomasetti.
Thomas Robnett Guy, 89, Vero Beach
Thomas “Tom” Robnett Guy, born Oct. 3, 1928, to Herbert Smith Guy and Ethel Beindorf Guy, lifelong resident of Vero Beach, passed away Sunday Sept. 16, 2018, at the age of 89.
Tom graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1946 and then attended the University of Florida earning a B.S. degree in Pharmacy in 1950. While at UF he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Tom remained a loyal Gator all his life and followed Gator football, basketball, baseball, and softball. He was inducted into the UF Grand Guard in 2001.
Tom returned to Vero in 1950 to work at McClure Rexall Drugstore. He was the pharmacist and co-owner until 1981. Tom then worked as a pharmacist at the Indian River Medical Center from 1981-1995 and then part-time through 2003.
Tom spent two years as a pharmacist in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953 and was stationed in Columbia, S.C., at Fort Jackson.
Tom was a lifelong member of the Community Church of Vero Beach where he served as an usher for more than 50 years and was active on various boards and committees.
Tom was a member of the Vero Beach Volunteer Fire Department for more than 25 years. He was also a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity where he was recognized as the volunteer of the year for 2008 and he received the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013.
Tom also donated over 50 gallons of blood and platelets to the Indian River Blood Bank.
Tom and Gwen enjoyed the outdoors especially gardening, boating, and traveling the U.S. in the fall to visit relatives and friends and to visit numerous historical sites. He was also an avid fisherman and could be found on the river or deep-sea fishing with friends at every opportunity.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Robyn Guy (spouse, Noreen Olson), of Seattle, Wash.; sisters-in-law, Alma Lee Loy, of Vero Beach, and Virginia Bender Guy, of Grand Haven, Mich.; nieces, Gwenda Lee Loy, of Vero Beach, Laura Daily, of Foley, Ala., and Martha Gork, of Grand Haven, nephew, William Guy, of Serena Park, Md.; and grandnieces and grandnephews.
Tom was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Gwendolyn “Gwen” Loy Guy, his parents, and his brother Herbert S. Guy, Jr.

A memorial service celebrating Tom’s life will begin at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Community Church of Vero Beach with a reception to follow.
Alfred N. Lewis, 78, Vero Beach
Alfred N. Lewis, 78, of Vero Beach, passed away Sept. 17, 2018.
He was born Feb. 13, 1940, in Fall River, Mass., and had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1989, coming from Swansea, Mass.
Mr. Lewis was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served proudly from 1961 to 1966.
He leaves his memories to be cherished by his children, Debra (Michael) Gerthoffer, of Vero Beach, Kenneth Lewis, of Vero Beach, Thomas (Nicole) Lewis, of Sebastian, and Daniel Lewis, of West Palm Beach; sister, Marilyn Lindsay, of Swansea; grandchildren, Jamie Lewis, Tiffany Lewis, Kasey Lewis, Nicole Tucker, Zachary Lewis and Amelia Gerthoffer; nieces and nephews, Tara Howard, Toby Lindsay, Todd Lindsay, Barry Lewis, Brendan Lewis and Dawn Perry.
He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Angela Lewis, and brother, Steven Lewis.
A visitation will be held 5-7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 24, at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home followed by a 2 p.m. burial at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, Fla.
