INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A woman was killed in the early morning hours of Saturday when a vehicle struck her as she was running along 12th Street.
The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for the driver of a 2007 Jeep Wrangler in connection to the fatality.
The woman was identified as 30-year-old Jessica Joy Dees-Feurstein.
According to FHP, Dees-Feurstein was running west along the north shoulder of 12th Street east of 58th Avenue when the Jeep hit her at approximately 4 a.m.
The driver fled the scene.
