INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A 33-year-old man was arrested after deputies found five small bags of cocaine in his vehicle during a traffic stop, authorities said.

Deputies arrested Craig Vincent Taylor, of the 4300 block of 33rd Avenue C, Gifford, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Taylor was released Saturday from the Indian River County Jail on $5,000 bond.

Indian River County sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop about 8:30 p.m. Friday on a two-door silver Honda Accord near 43rd Street and 28th Avenue. Deputies ordered the driver – identified as Taylor – out of the car.

Deputies searched Taylor’s vehicle and found five small plastic bags that each had crack cocaine, reports show. Taylor could not tell deputies why there was narcotics inside his car.

Deputies arrested Taylor and took him to the county jail. Taylor has an arraignment at 8:30 a.m. August 29, court records show.
