A 37-year-old missing and endangered man was found safe Tuesday afternoon in Fort Pierce, authorities said.
Deputies on Tuesday asked for the public’s help to find the man – identified as Clint Story. Deputies said Story was last seen late Monday at his Vero Beach home before being reported missing.
Story turned himself into authorities about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Fort Pierce, Indian River County Sheriff’s spokesman Maj. Eric Flowers said. Deputies made the announcement on Twitter.

Detectives were in contact with Story by phone throughout the day and thought he might have been headed to West Palm Beach. Deputies were concerned for his well being because of extenuating circumstances.
Details on why Story was described as endangered were not released.
