The Bealls in St. Lucie West is one of the latest stores to get hit by a brazen shoplifter, according to the Port St. Lucie Police Department. A woman is accused of strolling out the store with more than $200 of items.
Police are seeking the public’s help identifying the woman, who they say stole items between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 9. Police didn’t put out a notice about the incident until late last week.
According to police, surveillance footage captured the accused shoplifter, who is described as a white female with blonde hair. Her hair was up in a ponytail under a baseball cap. She was wearing a white, short T-shirt, jean shorts and black slide shoes.
Images captured showed she was carrying a large black handbag and has multiple tattoos.
Police say the woman entered the store shortly after 11 a.m. and selected two swimsuits, a watch, various clothing items, and a bottle of CK Cologne. She took the items into the fitting room area. After leaving the fitting room area, according to police, she discarded the empty packages in a fitting rack and then left the store without paying for any of the items.
In all, $210.28 worth of merchandise was stolen, police said.
