INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A sweep targeting individuals wanted for warrants – mostly involving narcotics – netted more than a dozen arrests in two days by the Sheriff’s VICE unit, authorities said.

“These recent arrests are a stark warning to those who think they can sell drugs in our community and get away with it. Our VICE Unit has worked hard to obtain sale and possession charges on those who think it is acceptable to peddle these illegal narcotics,” Sheriff Deryl Loar said in a statement. “Make no mistake, your crimes will catch up to you.”

The VICE unit, along with the K-9 unit, made the arrests. Those charged include the following:

During the sweep, deputies searched a home in the 800 block of 17th Street at Plantation Apartments. Deputies found meth in the residence and other items consistent with drug sales.

Deputies conducted surveillance on the complex and made the following arrests:

“The search warrant obtained in Plantation Apartments is a fine example of how assistance from the community can help us bring justice and restore peace in a neighborhood when we have cooperating witnesses,” Loar said.
