Willard Bryce Byerly Jr., 61,Vero Beach
Willard Bryce Byerly Jr., 61, of Vero Beach, died April 17, 2018. He was born Aug. 22, 1956, in Lexington, N.C.
Survivors include his three brothers, Roger (Dale) Byerly and Larry Byerly, both of Ft. Pierce, and Numa (Jessie) Byerly, of Fellsmere; sisters, Deborah Hover, of Crescent City, Fla., and Susan Anderson, of Fellsmere; 10 nieces and nephews; and 18 great-nieces and great-nephews; two uncles, JC Taylor and Jimmy Dorsett; one aunt, Betty Dorsett; and numerous cousins in North Carolina.
A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Willard’s life at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, at The Little Jim Bridge, 601 North Causeway Dr., Ft. Pierce.
Arrangements are under the direction of Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian.
Glenn Martin Fahey, 63, Sebastian
Glenn Martin Fahey, 63, of Sebastian, passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2018. Glenn was born in Boston, Mass., on July 10, 1954, to the late Thomas B. Fahey and Marie F. Egan.
In 1998, Glenn and his family moved to Sebastian, where they still reside.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Andrea F. Fahey (Lerner); and two beautiful children, Brendan Robert, 21, and Allison Marie, 19; his brothers, Thomas B. Fahey Jr., of Boynton Beach, Fla., Shawn F. Fahey, of West Palm Beach, Christopher G. Fahey, of Boynton Beach, Richard M. Massarelli Jr. (Rosie), of Lake Worth, David M. Massarelli (Michele), of Stoughton, Mass., and Steven R. Massarelli, of Brockton, Mass.
Glenn was predeceased by his sister, Brenda Lee Fahey.
Glenn was a highly decorated law enforcement officer with honors. His career was spent serving and protecting the communities that he was part of along with his brothers and sisters in blue. He proudly served the DeKalb County Police Department in Decatur, Ga., 1978 – 1985, then continued his service as a decorated officer for the Delray Beach Police Department in Delray Beach, Fla., 1986 -1997, until his retirement.
Glenn was a wonderful man who loved golfing, fishing, and coaching little league and travel ball teams that his son participated in. Glenn was an avid sports enthusiast to all who knew him. He loved sports, all sports. He also loved the company of friends while spending hours telling stories and enjoying the laughter of all. He was kind and humble but, most importantly, he had a big heart for those he loved and shared years of friendship with.
Glenn will be sadly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. May Glenn forever rest in peace and remain in our hearts.
A viewing has been scheduled for Sunday, April 29, at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 S. Fleming Street, Sebastian, from 4-8 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at Monday, April 30, 11 a.m. at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 13075 U.S. 1, Sebastian, with burial to follow at Sebastian Cemetery, 1921 N. Central Ave., Sebastian.
George Warren Popp, 98, Sebastian
George Warren Popp, 98, died April 21, 2018, at Pelican Landing in Sebastian. He was born in Rockland, Mass., and has wintered in Barefoot Bay, since 1989.
George was a US Army Air Corps veteran and was a retired electrical sales engineer for Gould, in Newburyport, Mass.
He was a member of Roseland United Methodist Church, Roseland.
Survivors include his son, Kenneth Warren Popp, of Vero Beach; daughter, Judith Ellen Connor, of Barefoot Bay; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Sears Popp.
Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960 in memory of George Warren Popp.
Services will be at a later date in Massachusetts.
Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Sebastian.
Nancy Ann Rowe, 70, Vero Beach
Nancy Ann Rowe, 70, of Vero Beach, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018, at her home with her family gathered at her side.
Nancy was born in Glen Burnie, Md., and moved to Vero Beach 12 years ago from Baltimore.
Nancy was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Vero Beach, a 15-year volunteer with the Cub Scouts in Baltimore, founded two clubs called Best Friends Club and Universe Model Rocket Club in Baltimore.
She was regarded by friends and family as an animal rescuer and loved doing craft work and cooking.
Survivors include daughters, Elizabeth Ann Smith and Danielle Brazee, of Vero Beach; 16 foster children; and 15 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Edward Smith; son, Thomas Rowe; and a sister, Elsie Mae Gilbert.
A graveside service will begin at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 26, at Winter Beach Cemetery in Winter Beach.
