Alfred Beakbane, 46, of Vero Beach

Alfred “Bernie” Beakbane, 46, of Vero Beach, passed away after a short battle with cancer, on April 11, 2018, at VNA Hospice House.

Bernie is survived by his loving wife, Lesli; his mother, Ginette Beakbane; sister, Ginal Causland; and two nephews, Ryan and Kyle Causland.

He was predeceased by his father, Alfred B. Beakbane, Sr.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

 

 

Rachael Lane Holbrook, 94, Vero Beach

Rachael Lane Holbrook, 94, of Vero Beach, passed away peacefully at her home on April 13, 2018. A native of Georgia, she lived her adult life in Crossville, Tenn., and Naples, Fla., before moving to Vero Beach in 2000. She was a resident at the Florida Baptist Retirement Center.

Rachael lived in Naples for more than 45 years, during which time she was employed at Citizens National Bank.

Rachael was seldom idle, finding joy in doing for others. She was an active volunteer at the retirement center, lending a helping hand wherever she was needed. A talented seamstress, she was sewing for her friends until two months before her passing.

Rachael is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Sue Holbrook of Vero Beach; granddaughters and husbands, Lyn and David Foster, of Morristown, Tenn., and Becky and Victor Loar, of Lexington, S.C.; four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Jack, Charlotte and Nathaniel; her nephew and his wife, Alan and Donna Richman, of Port St. Lucie; and extended family too numerous to mention.

She was predeceased by her husband, Carl Holbrook, manager of Inter-County Telephone Company. She also survived all seven siblings, including her twin sister, Mary Richman.

A graveside service was held Monday, April 16, at Winter Beach Cemetery at 1 p.m.

Jean E. Ihle, 77, Vero Beach

Jean E. Ihle, 77, of Vero Beach, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at home.  She was born July 19, 1940.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 13075 US 1, Sebastian.

Donald Dean Lindell, 85, Vero Beach

Donald Dean Lindell, 85, of Vero Beach, passed away April 11, 2018.

Don was an avid pilot, educator and coach. He enjoyed singing in a number of local choirs.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara; three children; and five grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, April 20, at 3:45 p.m. at Indian River Estates, Chapel at West.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice or the Samaritan Fund at Indian River Estates.

 

Charles Edward Morrell, 76, Vero Beach

Charles Edward Morrell, 76, passed away April 9, 2018, in Vero Beach. He was born to the late Frank and Elizabeth Morrell on July 24, 1941, in Newark, N.J.

Charles graduated from Arthur L. Johnson High School in 1959 and worked as an Elevator Installer for Otis Elevator in New York City from 1959 to 1996.

Charles was also a car enthusiast.

Charles is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy Morrell; their daughters, Dawn and Kristin; and five grandchildren.

 

Isabelle M. Muth 88, Vero Beach

Isabelle M. Muth 88, of Vero Beach, passed away Tuesday April 3, 2018, at the VNA Hospice house in Vero Beach. Isabelle was born to Frank and Isabelle Russell on Oct. 1, 1929, in Yonkers, N.Y.

She attended Yonkers public schools and graduated from Gorton High School. She was named Miss Yonkers NY in 1945.

Isabelle married Arthur “Bob” E. Muth II in 1949. They remained married for 50 years until his passing in 1999. Through the years they resided in Scarsdale, N.Y., Fairfield County, Conn., and Great Harbor Cay, Bahamas.

They retired to John’s Island in Vero Beach in 1980. She and Bob loved golf. They traveled often and played on the best courses in the world. She was also an exceptional needle artist.

She is survived by children, Michael, of Vero Beach, Susan, of White Salmon, Wash., Christopher, of Bluffton, S.C.; and four grandchildren, Sloan, Ryan, Brandon, and Philip.

She is predeceased by one son, Arthur E. Muth III; and her sister, Barbara Demerest.

Susan Prock, 72, Vero Beach

Susan Prock, 72, of Vero Beach, passed away on April 9, 2018, at VNA Hospice House. She was born July 3, 1945.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Christ Church Vero Beach, 667 20th St., Vero Beach, FL 32960.

Interment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
