INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A 32-year-old woman was arrested during a traffic stop after she hid a tire gauge pipe in her vagina, authorities said. The woman admitted to deputies that she used the gauge as a crack pipe.
Melissa Kay Moneyhon, of the 8700 block of 20th Street, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cocaine. She is being held at the Indian River County Jail on $3,000 bond.
A deputy conducted a traffic stop about 10 p.m. Tuesday on 45th Street after seeing an eastbound vehicle with its driver’s side headlight out. The deputy approached the Dodge Durango and immediately smelled marijuana, an arrest report shows.
The deputy searched the passenger, Moneyhon, and found a used syringe with a clear liquid substance, authorities said. While detained, Moneyhon told deputies she stuffed a tire gauge in her vagina. She used the gauge as a crack pipe, deputies said.
Moneyhon removed the tire gauge from her body while at the county jail. The gauge had a white liquid substance that tested positive for cocaine, an arrest report shows.
Moneyhon was arrested and booked into the jail. She has a court arraignment at 8:30 a.m. April 18, court records show.
Details on if deputies found marijuana in the SUV and if the driver was also arrested were not available.
