IRSC Physical Therapist Assistant program accepting applications

Physical Therapy is a great career choice for a compassionate and caring person who enjoys physical activity and helping others. The two-year Associate in Science Physical Therapist Assistant program (PTA) at IRSC prepares students for a rewarding career in an in-demand field with a solid, evidence-based education.

Assistant Professor Bernice Cuscuna, M.S., P.T. joins the Health Science team as director of the Physical Therapy Assistant program. Cuscuna is a licensed Physical Therapist with 19 years of experience as a dedicated physical therapy clinician including hospitals, home care and outpatient orthopedics.

Prior to starting at IRSC, Cuscuna taught 15 years as an adjunct lecturer and has been recognized for excellence in teaching and her dedication to student success.

Applications for the Fall 2018 Physical Therapist Assistant program are now being accepted. The application deadline is June 25. Students may register for pre-requisite courses during Spring and Summer semesters.
