Treasure Coast Chorale presents Broadway hits March 4

VERO BEACH – Broadway’s favorite hits from past and present musicals will be sung by the Treasure Coast Chorale and Friends on Sunday, March 4. Conducted by Music Director Dr. Michael Carter, the 70 members of the Chorale celebrate their 16th anniversary year with “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” a selection of rollicking choruses, soaring solos, timeless trios, and precise accompaniments from the “Great White Way.”

“This is one of our favorite concerts because the audience and the singers just love the music from such plays as My Fair Lady, Forty-Second Street, Carousel, Fiddler On The Roof, Evita and Mamma Mia among many others,” says Carter. “We will be singing this performance on March 4, at a new matinee time, 4 p.m., to better accommodate our many loyal fans and all those who enjoy this brilliant music. And we will offer a special audience participation segment for those who just can’t help singing along.”

Friends of the Chorale who will also be performing include Vero’s popular singing trio “The Dolls,” guitarist Dave Mundy, drummer Richie Mola, and pianist Judy Carter.

Held at the First Baptist Church, 2206 16th Ave., Vero Beach, doors will open for seating at 3 p.m. for the matinee concert and the audience is encouraged to arrive early as most of the recent TCC concerts have been completely full. There is no admission charge but the audience will be asked for a suggested $10 a person donation to show their appreciation for this musical gift to the community.

The church is handicapped accessible.

The last concert of the TCC season will be “On the Road Again” on Sunday, June 3 at 7 p.m. More information is available on the chorale’s website www.treasurecoastchorale.org or by calling 772-231-3498.
