Vicki C. Black, 68, Vero Beach

Vicki C. Black, 68, of Vero Beach, passed away Feb. 26, 2018, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and lived in Vero Beach since 2013 coming from Georgetown, Ohio.

Vicki was a retired administrative assistant for AB Plastics in Milford, Ohio, and did home care while in Florida.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to read and travel, having recently gone to Ireland. Vicki loved playing online games and her dog, Quincy.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 45 years, Wayne Black; sons, Steve (Marieanne) Richards, of Winchester, Ohio, Kevin (Joanne) Richards, of Fairfield Township, Ohio, and their children, Jeremiah and Lexi; daughter, Angie (Chris) Sidwell, of Mt. Orab, Ohio, and their son, Justin; daughter, Amy (Roger) Black of Mt. Orab, Ohio, and her son, Ethan Wright; and sister, Norene Wilson, of Cincinnati, Ohio.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach.

 

Matthew Winalski, 60, Vero Beach

Matthew “Matt” Winalski, 60, of Vero Beach, peacefully completed his journey on earth Feb. 26, 2018. Matt was born in Hartford, Ct., to Warren and Helen Winalski May 2, 1957.

He graduated from NorthWest Catholic High School in West Hartford, Ct., and completed several programs in carpentry/construction from A.I. Prince Technical School in Hartford. He also attained several licenses in mechanical engineering from Mass Maritime Academy.

Prior to moving to Vero Beach, Matt and his family resided in Falmouth, Mass.

Matt is survived by his wife, Aggie (nee Peterson); his sons, Will and Matty, and his daughter, Emily. He is also survived by his brother, Warren; his sister, Mary (husband, Rich), and their children Alexandrea and Patrick. Matt also leaves behind the Peterson brothers, their families, and many friends and extended family members, including Cioci Irene, cousins Paul, Barbara and Bobby.

Matt left us too early, but he left special memories to all who knew him. He will be missed deeply by his family and friends and we will all miss the “Matt charm and smile.”
