
VERO BEACH — A pet parade, dog lure course, Frisbee team, agility course and vendors are just a few things dogs and their owners participated in at the 6th Annual Bark in the Park event.
The event is considered one of the premiere dog events in all of Florida.
The Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County and Disc-Connected K9’s held the event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Riverside Park, near Beachland Boulevard and State Road A1A. More than 6,000 pet lovers come to the annual event to walk in the pet parade and participate in activities planned throughout the day.
The event is open to the public, and many people without dogs come just to watch canine fun.
