INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The search is on for three suspects who deputies said robbed a local business while armed and while customers were still inside. Surveillance footage captured the incident.
Deputies said the men at 1:44 a.m. Dec. 9 went inside the Lets Play Arcade in the 900 block of 14th Lane. The first suspect had what appeared to be a revolver and the third suspect had a possible semi-automatic handgun with an extended magazine.
The surveillance video shows a vehicle backing up in a parking space, and then three men hop out and run inside the business. The vehicle leaves as the men go inside.
The first two suspects run to the back of the store near the cash register while the third stayed in the front and pointed his weapon at customers. Customers are seen on video panicking; some had their hands up and others crawled to the floor.
One customer tried to run out the front door, but the third suspect quickly blocked her path.
The first suspect is seen going to the cash register and removing an undisclosed amount of money. He told the assistant manager, “Let me do what I gotta do,” deputies said.
The second suspect went to the back and rolled the arcade’s safe out the rear door.
The video below was provided by the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said there also was a fourth suspect who drove a gray Grand Jeep Cherokee that was stolen out of West Palm Beach. Law enforcement officials found the vehicle later that morning in an abandoned residential area in Vero Beach.
