Jamie David Collins, 52, Vero Beach

Jamie David Collins, 52, of Vero Beach, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2017. Jamie was born to David and Gwen Collins on June 14, 1965, at Blytheville Airforce Base in Blytheville, Ark.

Jamie graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1983 and went on to Johnson and Wales University in North Carolina and graduated with his associate’s degree in Culinary Arts.

Jamie is survived by his parents David and Gwen Collins; sister Carrie Duprey and husband, Harold Duprey; his nephews, Andrew Rawls, David Rawls, and David’s wife, Valerie Rawls; many loving aunts; his favorite uncle Dennis Collins; many cousins; his dog, Gunner Collins; his girlfriend, Sandi Wilmeth;

her children, Mandi and Colton; and his much loved Brinley.
A service will be held on Monday, Dec. 11, from 5 – 7 p.m. at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home 1950 20th Street in Vero Beach.

All of our hearts are broken! We love you Jamie!

 

Julia Rita Kelly, 95, Vero Beach

Julia Rita Kelly, 95, of Vero Beach, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.

Julia was born June 6, 1922, in Bronx, N.Y., to the late Patrick and Hannora Kelly. She moved to Vero Beach 38 years ago from the Bronx.

She was a faithful member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach.

Survivors include several close friends and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Kelly and Alice Kelly; and brother, Thomas F. Kelly and his wife, Betty.

Mass for Julia will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 12, at St. Helen Catholic Church.

She will then be transferred to New York for interment with her family at Calvary Cemetery in Queens, N.Y.

 

Patricia Anne Lavins, 73, Vero Beach

Patricia Anne Lavins, 73, of Vero Beach, passed away Dec. 2, 2017. She was born May 31, 1944, in Washington, D.C.

She was a resident of Vero Beach since 1996, coming from Gaithersburg, Md.

Patricia was formerly an administrative assistant with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for 25 years.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 33 years, Richard J. Lavins; her son, Mark Wooley (Crista), of New Hampshire; her grandchildren, Brian and Kyla Wooley; her brothers, Stephen Spare, Mark Spare, and Edmund Spare; and several nieces and nephews.
