INDIAN RIVER COUNTY – United Way of Indian River County has announced a new Executive Director for its United Way Foundation. Elizabeth Brugnoli Ullian has over 10 years of professional fundraising experience, most previously as a development officer for the University of Florida, Office of Advancement.
“I am so glad to be joining the United Way. I grew up in this community and am raising my children here, as well,” explained Ullian. “It is an honor to contribute to an organization that does so much for Indian River County.”
“We’re delighted that Elizabeth has joined our team,” commented Michael Kint, CEO, United Way of Indian River County, (UWIRC). “The Foundation is an important arm of our organization both for the work we are doing today but also to secure this impactful work for the future. It’s clear that Elizabeth brings a wealth of expertise to our continued growth of legacy gifts.”
The United Way Foundation is solely focused on building a permanent endowment to provide long-term financial support for the work being done by UWIRC. The UWIRC invests in a broad range of local health and human service programs to improve lives and build a stronger community in the areas of education, financial stability and health.
Gifts to the Foundation become part of a separate fund, which operates independently from the annual United Way fundraising campaign, where dollars raised are immediately invested in programming. Contributions to the Foundation are invested for growth with a percentage available for distribution each year to support and sustain the critically important work being done for generations to come.
United Way Foundation Board Members include Fritz Blaicher, Chair; Dennis Ferro, Vice Chair; Mike McGee, Secretary, SVP Senior Relationship Strategist, PNC/Hawthorn; David Sams, Treasurer, CEO, G2 Investment Group; Jan S.
