VERO BEACH — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a burglary suspect who stole $243 worth of various meats from a beer and wine bar, police said.
Surveillance photos shows the suspect, a man, riding on a bike Monday evening to the Kilted Mermaid, 1937 Old Dixie Highway, Vero Beach. The bar is located just south of 20th Street and 19th Place.
The man, who was wearing a backpack, went to a refrigerator located in an outside shed and stole various meats, police said. The owner of Kilted Mermaid showed police security footage of the man going inside the shed.
The meats stolen were 10 pounds of lamb, 10 pounds of shrimp and 15 pounds of pork tender loin, police said.
