Robert F. Ahearn, 80, Sebastian
Robert F. Ahearn, 80, of Sebastian and formerly of Boston, Mass., passed away Nov. 23, 2017, after a valiant fight against cancer surrounded by his adoring wife and family.
Robert was a Navy war veteran of the Korean War Era and served in the Coast Guard Reserve.
He was retired from the Boston Police Department where he served for 34 years. Robert was part of the Tactical Patrol Force and a detective in Homicide and domestic violence divisions.
Robert loved spending time at Marina Bay where he was a boat captain and nicknamed, the Mayor of H dock. He loved a great game of cribbage and enjoyed 11 years as a snow bird before moving to Sebastian in 2011.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Ashley Brown Ahearn; his five children, Robert J. of Easton, John E. and his wife, Susan, of Gibsonia, Pa., Catherine T. Hardy and her husband, Paul, of Roslindale, Laureen M. Flahive and her husband, Michael, of Foxboro, and Michael P, of Boston; and “Papa Birdie” to his seven grandchildren, who loved him very much; and his cherished fur baby, Molly.
Son of the late of Edmund and Margaret F. (nee McCarthy) Ahearn, is also survived by his loving brothers, Joseph L., of Quincy, and Paul D, of Boston.
He was predeceased by his brother, Edmund V.; and sister, M. Judith.
Robert will be laid to rest at Bourne National Cemetery in Massachusetts. Calling of friends and family will be held at Gormley Funeral Home in West Roxbury, Mass., at a later date.

Pamela Crowley, 58, Vero Beach
Pamela Crowley, 58, of Vero Beach, passed away on Nov. 24, 2017.
Pamela was the beloved wife of George Crowley Jr., devoted mother of George Crowley III., and his wife Andrea Crowley of Montgomery, AL, and Sean Crowley, of Vero Beach, loving grandmother of George Crowley IV, and Emily Crowley, cherished daughter of the late Beverly Amato, dear sister of Linda Ventura, of Ft. Lauderdale, Andrew Amato, of Ft. Lauderdale, and the late Deborah Deaton.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 1, at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, at St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
Jean Cumming McCormick Good, 87, Vero Beach
Jean Cumming McCormick Good, 87, of Vero Beach, died Nov. 21, 2017. She was born May 22, 1930, to the late Mr. and Mrs. David McCormick.
After graduating from art school at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, she was a commercial artist for 15 years in Pittsburgh, Pa., Orlando, and Boston, Mass.
Upon returning to Florida in 1964, it became her home and she continued working in the art field for 12 more years. Since her husband, Edmond E. Good’s death in 1991, Mrs. Good has lived in Vero Beach.
Survivors include her sister, Mary McCormick McNary; nieces, Elizabeth Agnoli and Martha Dietrich; nephew, Cliff McNary; and step-son, Barton E. Good.
There will be no visitation or repose.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Humane Society of Vero Beach, P.O. Box 644, Vero Beach, FL 32961, in Mrs. Jean Good’s memory.
Stanley Ray Goodridge, 78, Sebastian
Stanley Ray Goodridge, 78, of Sebastian, passed away Nov. 24, 2017. Born in Hebron, Ky., he was son of the late Stanley and Ruby (Hodges) Goodridge.
He was the beloved husband of Donna (Rackauskas) Goodridge for the past 37 years.
Stan retired from the City of Ocala as the Fire Chief. Prior to having been a fireman he was a police officer for the City of St. Petersburg.
He was a skilled blacksmith of thoroughbred horses and worked at the Orchid Isle Golf & Beach Club in Vero Beach for 15 years. He and Donna have been residents of Sebastian since 1991.
He leaves his wife, Donna; daughter, Angela Conley, and son, Dax Goodridge.
William Frederick Schaefer, Vero Beach
William Frederick Schaefer passed away on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017, at 4:13 p.m., with his family at home in Vero Beach. Bill was born on June 8, 1927, in Washington, D.C., to William Schaefer and Lucille Kemp.
He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II, the Army during the Korean War, was in the car business, and in land development and real estate sales.
He is survived by his wife, Lila Schaefer; his four children and spouses, Dawn (Joe), Debbie (Perry), Sherrie, Ronald; and his grandchildren, Danielle (Rob) Anthony, Shelby and Alexander.
A private family service will be held.

Robert was born Sept. 9, 1944, in Vero Beach, and owned and operated a cattle ranch.
