INDIAN RIVER COUNTY – Local citrus growers and packers are donating famous Indian River citrus to benefit the community-wide work of United Way of Indian River County.
The 20th annual holiday citrus sale will take place from Monday, Nov. 27, through Thursday, Nov. 30, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. each day at the United Way Center, 1836 14th Ave., Vero Beach.
Boxes of Navel oranges or Ruby Red grapefruit in two sizes may be ordered for shipping.
“We have so many return buyers at this sale,” said United Way’s Caitlin Puppo. “Our snowbirds like to share some Florida sunshine with their loved ones. We can’t thank our agricultural community enough.”
Small boxes of fruit are $35; large boxes are $50; shipping is included. Fruit cannot be mixed in one box. Fruit is not for carry out. Cash, check or credit card accepted. Fruit will ship via UPS on Dec. 4. All orders must be received before 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30.
