A flood advisory has been issued for northeastern Indian River County, according to weather meteorologists.

Forecasters issued the advisory shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday because of persistent heavy rain moving onshore. Forecasters said two inches of rain already has fallen and another two inches is expected.

This will lead to minor flooding in some areas, according to authorities.

There’s a 30 percent chance of showers Wednesday and Thursday, meteorologists said. For those days, temperatures will be in the high 70s and mid 60s with 5 to 15 mph north winds.
