INDIAN RIVER COUNTY – United Against Poverty recently announced that the 2017 Symposium on Poverty and Justice Reform will be held on Nov. 17, at the Richardson Center, Indian River State College, 6155 College Lane, Vero Beach.
Join in on the conversation with national, regional and local speakers and panelists from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Featured topics and speakers include:
- “Over-criminalization in America,” by Jordan Richardson, Senior Policy Analyst, Koch Institute, Washington, D.C.;
- “Holistic Defense: A New Approach to Representation,” by Wesley Caines, Reentry and Community Outreach Coordinator, The Bronx Defenders, The Bronx, N.Y.;
