INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A 43-year-old man was arrested after he touched a woman inappropriately and then forcibly grabbed her by the face and kissed her on the mouth, Indian River County deputies said.
Daniel Mark Irwin, of the 2200 block of 10th Road Southwest, Indian River County, was charged with unnatural and lascivious act. He is being held at the Indian River County Jail on $1,000 bond.
Deputies responded to the scene Thursday at Irwin’s home and spoke with the woman and several witnesses. The woman said she was visiting the home when Irwin began to sexually harass her, even after being told to leave the woman alone.
The relationship between the woman and Irwin was not available.
The woman was sitting in a chair when Irwin pulled a chair alongside her. Then, Irwin began acting “creepy” and started rubbing on the woman.
At one point, Irwin slid his hand between her legs and rubbed her in the crotch area, deputies said. The woman told Irwin to stop, and he did.
But then, Irwin began singing to the woman and then forcibly grabbed her by the face and kissed her on the mouth, deputies said. The woman then fled from the home.
Deputies arrested Irwin and took him to the county jail for booking. While being taken to the jail, Irwin told deputies he grabbed the woman by the thigh.
