VERO BEACH — A 50-year-old woman was arrested after she stabbed her boyfriend in the finger upon finding him in bed with another woman.
Ausby Charleen, of Vero Beach, was charged with aggravated battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was released Wednesday from the Indian River County Jail on $10,000 bail.
Deputies responded midnight Tuesday to a home in the 4400 block of 34th Court, Vero Beach. They spoke with the boyfriend, who told them he was in bed earlier with a woman who was not his girlfriend.
When the girlfriend, Ausby, let herself in the home with her key and found the two in bed, she went to the kitchen to get a knife, deputies said. Ausby returned to the room and swung the knife at the boyfriend, cutting him on his left index finger.
Ausby, who has a child with the boyfriend, was taken to the county jail for booking.
