INDIAN RIVER COUNTY –Less than a dozen Florida Power and Light customers still are without power in Indian River County. When they can expect to have the lights turned back on remains to be seen. This morning, Florida Power and Light had 10 customers in Indian River County without power.
The power provider expected to have electricity restored to all before the start of this work week.
“Every hour of every day, more and more customers are getting their lights back on,” FPL said on its website. “We are committed to doing everything we can to help get your lives back to normal.”
According to the company’s website, 52,670 customers in Indian River County were affected by Hurricane Irma. Of those 52,660 have had their power restored. That leaves fewer than 12 customers who are still in the dark one week after the storm.
Statewide, 108,890 customers are still without power from FPL – down from more than 4 million after Hurricane Irma struck.
