Indian River County – The St. Sebastian River Preserve State Park and Sebastian Inlet State Park both remain closed following Hurricane Irma though other state parks have since been reopened, according to the Florida Park Service.
When the two parks, and the others that remain closed, will reopen is not yet known.
Since the storm, the Florida Park Service reopened 46 state parks. Due to weather conditions and to ensure visitor safety, 121 state parks remain closed.

Visitor safety is paramount in the decision to reopen Florida State Parks following times of severe weather. Additionally, Florida State Parks are in constant communication with state and local emergency operations centers and will reopen based on conditions and location.
