INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Reporter Samantha Baita woke up to find she and her neighbors had waterfront property, courtesy of Hurricane Irma.
From Samantha Baita: When we woke up this morning we realized that we now had waterfront property in Westside Villas, a small cul-de-sac neighborhood off 82nd Avenue at State Road 60 in Vero Beach.
The water was only 10 feet from my garage and the house was on a virtual island.
As we were getting out to carefully assess the damage, a neighbor from the next street over came gliding by in a kayak.
