SEBASTIAN — A 17-year-old girl received school discipline after she brought a pink stun gun to the cafeteria during breakfast.
A deputy who also was the school resource officer responded to the incident shortly after 8 a.m. Aug. 22 at Sebastian River High School, 9001 Shark Boulevard. The deputy was called by the assistant principal, who said the student had the stun gun.
While the incident report identified the girl, due to the nature of the alleged crime and her age, VeroNews.com has declined to identify her.
Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with two students who said they saw the teen pull out the stun gun and activate it that morning in the cafeteria. The deputy then spoke with the girl in the assistant principal’s office, where she admitted to having the stun gun and activating it, according to the report.
When the deputy asked her where the device was at, she told him her step-mother came to the campus during first period to get it. The assistant principal called the student’s parents, and the father came to the school.
The teen received school discipline and the deputy escorted her and her father off the campus. Shortly after, the father returned to the school with the “Vipertek” stun gun and asked the deputy to get rid of it.
The stun gun was placed into evidence. Further details on the school discipline were not immediately available.
