VERO BEACH — Adoption fees for kittens and cats will be waived at an adoption event this weekend, according to the Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County.
The “Get Your CatFax” adoption event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the agency’s adoption and education center, 6230 77th Street, Vero Beach. Adoption fees have been waived thanks to the agency’s donors.
“During the summertime, we have many homeless cats and kittens who are brought to our shelter,” Director of Operations Maria Ramirez said. “Our CatFax promotion is a fun way to get the word out that shelter cats need homes.”
All kittens and cats are sprayed or neutered, have vaccinations and microchips, officials said. Those available for adoption can be seen on the agency’s website.
