Bones found in home backyard

VERO BEACH — A man recently found two separate pieces of bones while cleaning brush in the backyard of a home.

Deputies responded to the scene shortly before 5 p.m. Aug. 19 at the home in the 1200 block of 28th Avenue, Vero Beach. They spoke with the man, who told them he was cleaning brush in a wooded area in the backyard when he found the bones.

The man took deputies to the bones, which were collected and sent to the crime lab for processing. Details on if the bones belonged to an animal or human were not available.
