SEBASTIAN — The owner of the Mo-Bay Grill, a Jamaican restaurant with international dishes, will be taking over the restaurant at the Sebastian Municipal Golf Course.

Sebastian City Council voted Wednesday to have Wesley Campbell, owner of Mo-Bay Grill, run the food operations at the newly named Sebastian Golf Restaurant & Sports Lounge, which is currently the Eagle’s Nest Restaurant.

The lease for Eagle’s Nest at the building ends Nov. 20 and Campbell will have a 10-year lease. He said the lounge building will be renovated with a new kitchen, dining room, hardwood floor and more when the current owners move out.

But, an official open date has not been set, Campbell said. The building is located at 100 Brush Foot Drive, just south of the Sebastian Municipal Airport and west of U.S. 1.

The sports lounge will have a different concept and food selections than the Mo-Bay Grill, Campbell said. He said there will be American food themes and that he will be looking to hire chefs and servers.

Campbell said when the lounge opens, he’ll be working there and still at the Mo-Bay.
