Major drug dealers arrested in IRC

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Two major drug dealers with large amounts of heroin, cocaine and marijuana were recently arrested.

On Aug. 16, deputies did a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1900 block of 21st Street Southwest, Vero Beach. They found the passenger, Edward Marshall Jr., 43, of Vero Beach, had 55 grams of heroin with fentanyl mix in the vehicle, deputies said.

Also arrested in the stop was driver Chandal Sullivan, 23, of Fellsmere.

Both were charged with trafficking in a controlled substance and remain at the Indian River County Jail. Sullivan has a $35,000 bond while Marshall is being held without bond.

Marshall was previously arrested in July for possession of heroine, cocaine and Xanax, deputies said.

On Aug. 18, deputies served a search warrant for a home in the 6300 block of 84th Place after an undercover detective bought drugs from Romance Jones, 69, of Wabasso. During the search, deputies found nearly four kilograms of cocaine, more than $46,000 in drug money, 359 grams of marijuana, 13 marijuana plants and the seizure of three vehicles including a 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.

Jones was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine, manufacture of marijuana and five counts of sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church. He is being held at the Indian River County Jail on $986,000 bond.
