INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A tropical wave steadily approaching southern Florida might bring heavy rain and flooding to the county.
The wave was near the Bahamas Tuesday and is moving northwest in Florida’s direction, according to weather meteorologists. It has a 30 percent chance of developing into a cyclone within the next five days.
A large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms make up the wave. Residents can possibly expect up to an inch and a half of rain.
Residents also should make sure they have an emergency plan and be prepared.
