Deputies search for man who robbed bank

VERO BEACH — Deputies are searching for a man they said robbed a bank, according to an Indian River County Sheriff’s Office news release.

The man took an undisclosed amount of cash from the bank shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday at 4105 9th Street Southwest, near Oslo Road and 43rd Avenue Southwest in Vero Beach, sheriff’s spokesman Maj. Eric Flowers said.

The man indicated he had a weapon, but it wasn’t seen. No injuries were reported, Flowers said.

The man is described as black, 40 to 50 years old and about 5 feet 10 inches tall. He has a stocky build and was wearing dark sunglasses, a hat, dark shirt and possibly was wearing shorts, the release states.

Surveillance photos from PNC Bank shows the man appears to have distinguishing vitiligo on his face, arms and hands.
