Exchange Club of Indian River honors Jonathan Rose, Jaime Klekamp

VERO BEACH ‒ Jonathan Rose will serve as the 2017-2018 president of Exchange Club of Indian River. Rose, a resident of Vero Beach, is president of Millennium Collections Corporation. Other officers installed include President-Elect Nancy Gollnick, Secretary Jennifer Frederick, Treasurer Sue Dempsey, Immediate Past President Joan Barcus, and Directors John Binkley, Jaime Klekamp, Warren Lewis, Summer Ostrom, Barbara Parent, and Scott Wallace. Outgoing directors Mark Ashdown and Angela Astrup were honored for their service.

Florida District Exchange Vice President Judy Landgrave, a member of the Exchange Club of Vero Beach, conducted the installation of officers at the club’s annual banquet held at the Vero Beach Country Club on June 22.

Outgoing Exchange Club of Indian River President Joan Barcus named Jaime Klekamp Exchangite of the Year. This prestigious award recognizes an outstanding member who provides exemplary service to the organization over time. Klekamp was honored for her loyal service to the club as board member, faithful volunteer, and enthusiastic fundraiser. She is the owner of ACE Insurance of Florida in Vero Beach.

Exchange Club of Indian River is a group of men and women working together since 1973 to make our community a better place to live through programs of service in Americanism, Youth Activities, Community Service, and the Prevention of Child Abuse. It is affiliated with America’s service club, the National Exchange Club. Members meet for lunch at Cannon’s Restaurant each Wednesday at noon. Meetings feature programs on a wide range of business, government and civic, charity, personal, and professional topics.

The Foundation’s next major event is Black & White Masquerade Ball to be held Saturday, October 21, at the Vero Beach Country Club. The club is also a partner in the Vero Beach Air Show, starring the United States Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron – the Blue Angels – coming April 21-22, 2018, to the Vero Beach Regional Airport.
